Opportunity and Necessity
Retirement, according to the dictionary, means to “withdraw from one’s position or occupation or from active working life. As I prepared for retirement, I knew I wanted to stay mentally, physically, and especially socially active doing the things I like to do. Working quite a distance from home limited my opportunities to become a part of the rural Quiet Corner culture.

My name is Ken Greene and live in Brooklyn, Connecticut. Among other things, I like games and competition, but as I looked around the local area, there just didn't seem to be a lot offered that I could easily get involved with. I have run golf tournaments in my past (yes, I am a golfer!), and am in my 15th year of running Fantasy Baseball and Football leagues with some neighbors and coworkers from my past. That's when I decided to create my own opportunity - and came up with the idea of creating what I call 'Leisure Leagues' - starting with a Cribbage and Cornhole League. For this goal to be successful in my mind, it had to give others a place to go to enjoy themselves for a few hours a week with very little cost. Please enjoy!
